GLONASS-M Satellites Successfully Launched
GPS World - November 3, 2011 After a one-day delay, Roscosmos has launched a rocket carrying three GLONASS-M satellites, reports the Ria Novosti news agency. The Proton-M rocket was successfully launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome at 12:52 UTC today. All stagings were nominal including that of the Breeze-M upper stage with the attached satellites. The Breeze-M will fire four times before releasing the satellites at about 18:41 UTC. The launch was postponed for a day on Thursday after a malfunction of the switching network was detected during a check of the ground-based equipment at the launch pad.
